I wish I had known ahead of time that the top temp for worm farming is 85 degrees. Here in the South we have 100 degree plus days. I guess I have to wait till winter to use my worm farm. Disappointing.

Built well, sturdy, and came with some nice tools that I do use. The worm ladder does help keep worms from getting stranded on the very bottom but worms still explore down there. The spigot is very well situated, close to the bottom of the collection tray, so very little leachate stays there. The upside-down top is a very handy place to put the trays, as you remove them from the top down, when harvesting. However you still need to find one more place to put the last bottom tray (the one you are harvesting, and the last one to remove from the stand) while you then put all the other trays back in place on the stand. A few worms can be hanging out of it, so to take care of them I have used an upright 5-gallon pail to rest it on, so that very little of the tray is in contact with a surface. Once the other trays are back on the stand I then place the harvesting tray on top to begin the harvest process.
