Overview

MicroLawn grass seed was developed over many years of natural selection that resulted in all the benefits of traditional clovers but in very tiny, dark green leaves that do not form clumps or excessively compete with turf grass.

Microclover seed mix "spoon feeds" nitrogen to the grass by utilizing atmospheric nitrogen and converting it into organic nitrogen forms used by turf grasses. Microclover lawn seed mix produces a healthy, dense and naturally green lawn that is easy to maintain.

MicroLawn grass seed is the perfect solution for lakeshores and watersheds that are sensitive to nitrogen runoff from chemical fertilizers.

  • Never needs fertilizer after initial establishment
  • Reduces nitrogen run-off and chemical use
  • Crowds out weeds
  • Naturally stays green all year long and tolerates high traffic

  • Adaptable to most soil conditions
  • Flower heads removed with low mowing
  • 5 lb. bag covers 1,000 square feet for new lawns

    Won't Mow Itself

Mixed with compost in wheelbarrow. Broadcast was shuffle over about 50 square feet. Watered the heck out of it. Grass came up real nice in about 2 weeks. Clover filling in a bit later. Looks gorgeous. Too bad it won't mow itself. Zone 9.

The best turf you will ever grow!

Excellent product. My soil is predominantly clay and enrichment is continual. However Microlawn has created the perfect lawn. Fescue predominant with excellent micro non flowering clover. I am replacing all the Kentucky Blue which was planted but not kind to my region of US. If you're looking for a drought tolerant, green beautiful lawn , this is it!

Micro Lawn Grass and Microclover Blend

We had a nice mixture of clover and grass with our Micro Lawn seed blend planted last year although the most recent bags purchased and planted this year has minimal clover and mainly grass. We were looking forward to much more clover.

    Moderately disappointing

My order arrived in September. I sowed the seed, covered with straw, and watered twice daily until we began to have some soaking rains. I have yet to see anything germinate in that area. I was hoping to be able to get something started here in zone 5B before winter, but those hopes are gone now.

Best solution for bare spots in a lawn

I love the clover and grass seed mix. It grew nicely when planted in NW Montana in August. Lots of heat and lots of irrigation. The clover filled in first, then the grass joined in and now I have a lawn with a lot fewer bare and weedy spots. Just remember not to use Weed and Feed or any other weed killers, ever again!
