Overview

Pour water from virtually any source into the top chamber of the system, and dispense filtered water easily from the lower chamber through a handy spigot. The systems are easy to use—no electricity, tools or plumbing needed. Instead, Berkey systems use micro-porous filtration, a process found in nature, combined with modern technology and high-quality materials to provide an exceptional water filtration system

Berkey Systems equipped with Black Berkey Elements dramatically reduce protozoa, trihalomethanes, inorganic minerals, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, VOCs, petroleum products, perfluorinated chemicals, rust, silt, sediment and even radiologicals. Water flowing through the Big Berkey has a long contact period with the filtration element. Unlike other filters where water is forced through the element, water travels through Berkey filters along a tortuous path allowing water to stay in contact with the elements for an extended period.

This system is ideal for 1-4 people to use everyday. The long-lasting set of Black Berkey Elements can treat up to 6,000 gallons (or about 5 years of typical use) before needing replacement.
